Then and Now 2: Random beat Madeline in the duel?!

Now I said I was going to do more of these, and I will; but I didn't want to annoy you during the chapter, and yes new art is coming this week, so anyway... here is more. Okay so yeah, in the 2010 version of the comic, Random actually won the duel with Madeline. There's a lot of reasons I changed the outcome.

1. Original Random was kind of a jerk...  Originally Random sort of ran all over Madeline, beat her at the duel, broke the ship (although she did yell at him) made jokes and refused to listen to orders. This.... was a huge flaw. And likely due to, at that time, all I ever read were mangas, and that's how male characters act, they are either, big jerk man that ladies love, or coward guy who gets the girl somehow,  and sadly little has changed, most males still act like this with females in most manga, Fairy Tail, One Piece, Dragonball Z, Ranma 1/2 heck even Sailor Moon.

While, this does happen a lot, the viewers brought it to my attention that Madeline is THE CAPTAIN, I then realized how frustrating that was, especially to women viewers. Madeline can't control one guy, but she is the captain? And Random isn't nice? Well... It had to go. New Random is a bit devious (it seems), but is very polite and well mannered with Madeline, even trying to stop the fight without harming her. This is the way he should have been; it's a good change all around.

2. Random's superpowers were shown but never explained, nor hinted at.... In the original comic Random had the same super abilities but never was it hinted that me might have superpowers, he just..beat Madeline. Very Gary Stu of him.  Oh well got to learn from your mistakes. And I did. I dropped a million hints this time, but there will be a huge reveal in Chapter 2.

3. Madeline is the heroine of the comic!  Madeline loses her first duel to a human? But isn't she the big tough heroine?! Did the intro say how scary she was? While I don't want to make a Mary Sue, and clearly by beating up Random as she does in the new version, she isn't, it sent a weird message that our protagonist was losing to some guy with a scarf. 

And now you know why I changed it Sorry for the delays I have been super busy putting the finishing touches on Madeline's Giant Robot. Oh, and SHE is a beauty. You guys voted and I listen, I changed her robot to a female, so look forward to that, AND a special art this week. Thanks for putting up with me guys, you are the best.
